Strong communities don't happen by chance—they're built by people who care enough to come together, share ideas, and work toward common goals. That's exactly what the LSU AgCenter hopes to accomplish with its upcoming Building Connections in Pointe Coupee: A Community Engagement Meeting, and everyone is invited to take part.
On Tuesday, July 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., community members will gather at the Cottonport Bank Community Center for an interactive listening and visioning session focused on strengthening collaboration throughout Pointe Coupee Parish.
Why This Meeting Matters
Pointe Coupee Parish is home to countless organizations, churches, businesses, civic groups, volunteers, and dedicated residents who work every day to improve the quality of life in our communities. While many incredible efforts are already underway, there is tremendous opportunity to strengthen partnerships, share resources, and identify unmet needs.
This meeting is designed to bring people together to discuss questions such as:
How can we work together more effectively?
What organizations and resources already exist within our parish?
Where are the greatest opportunities for collaboration?
How can we better coordinate volunteer efforts to maximize impact?
What gaps exist, and how can we address them together?
By participating in these conversations, attendees will help lay the foundation for stronger community partnerships and future initiatives that benefit all of Pointe Coupee Parish.
Who Should Attend?
This event is open to everyone who has a passion for making Pointe Coupee a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
We encourage participation from:
Community organizations and nonprofits
Business owners
Church leaders
Educators
Government officials
Civic organizations
Volunteers
Residents of all ages
Whether you're actively involved in community service or simply want to learn more about what's happening in the parish, your voice is valuable.
