The Greater Pointe Coupee Chamber of Commerce is proud to present a Community Leadership Forum on Wednesday, June 11, at 6:00 p.m. at the Poydras Center in New Roads. This special event is designed to encourage civic involvement and help residents learn more about the many opportunities available to serve and strengthen our community.
Featured speaker Barry Erwin, President of Leaders for a Better Louisiana, will lead an engaging discussion about the importance of community leadership and public service. With decades of experience working to improve Louisiana's civic landscape, Irwin brings valuable insight into how everyday citizens can make a meaningful impact in their communities.
The forum will explore a variety of ways residents can become involved, including serving on local boards and commissions, volunteering for community organizations, participating in civic initiatives, and even considering a future run for public office. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how local leadership works and how individuals can contribute to positive change in Pointe Coupee Parish.
Strong communities are built by engaged citizens. Whether you are already active in community service or simply curious about ways to get involved, this event offers an excellent opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired. Participants will leave with practical knowledge and a deeper appreciation for the role local leadership plays in shaping the future of our parish.
The Community Leadership Forum is open to the public, and all residents of Pointe Coupee Parish are encouraged to attend. Chamber members are especially invited to bring employees, colleagues, friends, and family members who may have an interest in community service or civic leadership.
