The Pointe Coupee Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to recognize United Mississippi Bank (UMB) as our November 2024 Business of the Month!
UMB, formerly known as First Natchez Bank, was chartered on February 23, 1973 and opened its first doors in May 14, 1973. Since opening, UMB has been a recognized market leader in the financial services industry in southwest Mississippi, striving to meet the needs of every citizen in the markets they serve. Since the bank’s humble beginning in a mobile home on a parking lot in downtown Natchez, UMB has continued a tradition of hometown community banking. With 9 locations in MS and LA, UMB is very excited about their expansion into Pointe Coupee Parish and St. Landry Parish as well as Claiborne County and Lincoln County in Mississippi. UMB is excited to be realizing their vision to explore new opportunities for expansion, provide more local jobs, and enhance community banking in nearby areas of Louisiana and Mississippi.Thank you, UMB, for your dedication to strengthening our community!
