Children who experience abuse or neglect need strong, compassionate advocates by their side—and that’s where CASA comes in.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the 18th Judicial District is currently seeking new volunteers for 2026, and the community is invited to learn more at an upcoming CASA Lunch & Learn in New Roads.
CASA Lunch & Learn
Date: Wednesday, February 26
Time: 12:00 p.m.
Location: Julien Poydras Museum & Arts Center
500 West Main Street, New Roads
This Lunch & Learn is a great opportunity to enjoy lunch while discovering how CASA volunteers make a lasting impact in the lives of children involved in the court system. Attendees will hear directly from CASA representatives about what volunteers do, the training process, and how serving as a CASA advocate can truly change a child’s future.
Why Volunteer with CASA?
CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of children in foster care. By building a consistent, caring relationship with a child, volunteers help ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met during difficult times. One dedicated adult can make all the difference.
Whether you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back, seeking a deeper connection to your community, or simply curious about how CASA works, this event is the perfect place to start.
