Pack the Bus School Supply Drive to Benefit Local Schools
Houma, LA – Help Synergy Bank and H.O.P.E. Ministry of Pointe Coupee “pack the bus” with school supplies to benefit local students in Pointe Coupee Parish public schools.
The Pack the Bus School Supply Drive will collect school supplies throughout the month of July at various businesses throughout the parish. Supplies collected will be sorted and donated to Pointe Coupee Parish School District to be distributed to schools where children in need can use throughout the year.
“Ten years ago, we started the Pack the Bus School Supply Drive as a way to help local students in need thrive and excel in school,” Jerry Ledet, Synergy Bank President and CEO, said. “Since then, we continue to see the drive grow each year and we’re excited to include Pointe Coupee Parish this year. Our New Roads and Livonia teams are excited to work with local businesses to support our community and
schools.”
While all new school supply donations are appreciated, the most requested items include composition notebooks, 3-prong plastic folders, facial tissue, paper towels, pencil zipper bags, 2-inch binders, scissors, clear backpacks, rest mats (red and blue), packs of pencils, and 24-pack crayons. Individuals are encouraged to bring their donations to any of the following locations in Pointe Coupee Parish:
