Pointe Coupee Enrichment Center Provides Free Summer Grab-and-Go Meal Boxes for Local Children (Information available in English and Spanish)

As summer break begins, the Pointe Coupee Enrichment Center is helping ensure that children throughout Pointe Coupee Parish continue to have access to nutritious meals while school is out.
Through the USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Child Nutrition Program, the Pointe Coupee Enrichment Center is offering free Grab-and-Go Boxed Meals for children ages 18 and under throughout the summer.
Weekly Meal Distribution
Beginning June 1, 2026, and continuing through August 10, 2026, registered families can pick up meal boxes every Monday between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at:
Pointe Coupee Enrichment Center 8410 Mandela Drive, New Roads, LA
Each weekly meal box contains:
Seven (7) breakfasts
Seven (7) lunches
The meals are ready-to-eat, shelf-stable items and beverages that do not require refrigeration until opened, making them convenient for families throughout the parish.
Who Is Eligible?
All children residing in Pointe Coupee Parish who are 18 years of age or younger are eligible to receive the summer meal boxes.
How to Register
Parents and guardians must register each child individually. Families with multiple children should complete a separate registration form for each child.
