The Greater Pointe Coupee Chamber of Commerce is proud to spotlight our valued member, Council on Aging, and their upcoming Friends of Seniors Gala, taking place on February 21. This special event is more than an elegant evening—it is a meaningful opportunity for our community to come together in support of the seniors who have given so much to Pointe Coupee Parish.
Proceeds from the Friends of Seniors Gala directly support the wide range of essential services provided by the Council on Aging. These services include home-delivered and congregate meals, transportation assistance, health and wellness programs, social and recreational activities, caregiver support, and resources that help seniors remain independent, active, and connected. Each program plays a vital role in enhancing quality of life and ensuring our seniors are cared for with dignity and respect.
Attendees can look forward to an enjoyable and inspiring evening, highlighted by remarks from the Lt. General Russell Honoré, whose message will celebrate service, community, and the importance of supporting our aging population. We encourage everyone to attend, show their support, and be part of an event that truly makes a difference. Together, we can help ensure these vital services continue to strengthen our community for years to come.
