The Greater Pointe Coupee Chamber of Commerce is proud to bring back one of the most exciting events of the year—Boiling on False River Crawfish Cook-Off—happening May 2, 2026 in Downtown New Roads on Morrison Parkway.
This growing community event celebrates the heart of our parish—our crawfish industry—while bringing together families, friends, businesses, and visitors for a full day of food, fun, and friendly competition along beautiful False River.
A Cook-Off for Everyone
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just love boiling crawfish for friends and family, this event is for you. Our Crawfish Boil Cook-Off features both:
Professional Division – for experienced local boilers
Amateur Division – for backyard enthusiasts and first-time teams
Teams will compete for bragging rights, top honors, and the chance to be named Boiling on False River Crawfish Champion. Plus, attendees will get to sample crawfish and vote for their favorite in the People’s Choice competition.
