The City of New Roads Hosts Market at the Mill

The City of New Roads is excited to host the annual Market at the Mill from April 11 to 13, 2025, at the historic Cottonseed Oil Mill located at 311 Mill Street, New Roads, LA 70760. This beloved event transforms the mill into a bustling marketplace, featuring over 135 vendors offering a diverse array of items, including art, antiques, handmade jewelry, clothing for the whole family, pottery, flowers, and delicious food.

Event Hours and Admission:

• Friday, April 11: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Saturday, April 12: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Sunday, April 13: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  
  

Admission is $5 per day. To enhance your experience, mimosa specials will be available throughout the weekend.

Special Easter Activities:

In celebration of the Easter season, attendees can enjoy photos with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 12, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Ticket Information:

Tickets can be purchased online in advance. As an added incentive, those who buy tickets online by April 10 will be entered into a drawing to win one of three $100 gift cards.

About the Venue:

The Cottonseed Oil Mill dates back to 1900 and operated until 1979. It was largely vacant and unused until 2011, when the City of New Roads restored the building to host the first annual Market at the Mill. The event was so successful that it is now a biannual shopping extravaganza that has grown to 135 vendors, attracting up to 5,000 visitors throughout the weekend.
